JOEY
Only by God's leading that I met this cute little guy in the Loma Linda Children Hospital through the Friday Night Singing Band. He was in coma when I first met him and the mother was in tears by his bed side.
A couple weeks later, I met them for the second time in a different unit. He was getting better and became a 'miracle' for the unit. Joey recovered well from the serious injury and spread out his smile to everyone who came to his room giving him medical care. During the first admission after the accident, he stayed three months in LLCH. I remember the nurses and doctors were in tears to see Joey sitting on the wheel chair when he came by to visit the ICU unit on his 4th birthday.
I became to know Joey better as I spent more time visiting him. It is a priviledge to be a friend of Joey and to pour out my affection to him as my own child.. ( hmmmmmmmmmm).
It is amazing to see God's power who gives Joey another chance to live eventhough it was not the same as before the accident.
Currently Joey has gained strength in his arms and is able to sit and push his own wheel chair. He is very good in playing his Nitendo games as before the accident, even though he has to use his palm instead of his fingers.
Joey.. you are too cute!

I am so glad you are able to visit Joey and brighten his days in the hospital. Your kindness toward that family is admirable, Debbie.
