The Big Fat Indonesian Wedding
Just recently my cousin got married and had the reception in an auditorium in of of the sckycrapers in the center of Jakarta the Metropolitan city. Just like a regular big wedding of Indonesian, we had more than 700 hundred people( in my estimation) and a numerous variety of food and frutis. The decoration was magnificent, I wish I could have all my Californian friends to see it.
There are a couple Indonesian fruits I want to introduce. When you come and visit me, I have to make sure that you try all of them. one seasonal fruit is called Jambu. It's red and very soft, sweet and juicy. Another one with scaly brown skin is called Salak. The English word for it sounds scarier that it looks : Snake fruit. When you peel the scaly skin, you will find three pieces of the fruit with a big brown hard seed inside. In the old times we used the big seed to play.
